INTRODUCTION
Welcome to Strokers (“we,” “our,” or “us”). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application Strokers (the “App”).
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this policy, please do not access the App.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE DIRECTLY
Account Information
Apple ID Authentication: We use Sign in with Apple for authentication. We receive your name (optional), your email address (optional), and a unique Apple user identifier.
Profile Information: Display name, handle/username, and optional profile photo.
Golf Data: Golf rounds, scores, statistics, handicap information, and playing preferences.
User-Generated Content
Round Data: Scores, dates, times, courses played, tee selections, and game statistics.
Photos: Images you choose to associate with your golf rounds.
Social Interactions: Friend connections, round invitations, and shared round data.
INFORMATION COLLECTED AUTOMATICALLY
Location Information
We collect precise GPS location data when you use the App to show your position on the course, calculate distances to pins and hazards, detect which course you’re playing, and track movement during rounds.
Location services are only active when the App is in use and can be disabled in device settings.
Device Information
We collect device type, operating system version, device identifiers, push notification tokens (if enabled), and app usage data such as features used and time spent in the app.
INFORMATION FROM THIRD PARTIES
Contacts
With your permission, we access your contact list to help you find and invite friends. We do not store your full contact list.
Third-Party Services
We retrieve golf course data from external databases and may access optional weather data services.
HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
Primary Uses
Provide App Functionality: Track rounds and scores, calculate handicap information, provide GPS distances, enable real-time score sharing.
Social Features: Connect you with friends, enable live tracking, send invitations, display leaderboards and statistics.
Communication: Send push notifications, provide customer support, send service updates.
App Improvement: Analyze usage, debug issues, and develop new functionality.
Legal Basis for Data Processing
We process data based on consent (location, contacts, notifications), contract (providing services), and legitimate interests (improving the app and ensuring security).

Where We Store Data
Primary Database: Supabase servers in the United States.
Local Storage: Some data cached on your device.
Backup Systems: Secure backups are maintained.
Security Measures
We use encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL), secure authentication via Apple, access controls, and regular updates.
Data Retention
Active Accounts: Data retained while the account is active.
Deleted Accounts: Data deleted within 90 days.
Round Data: May be anonymized and retained for aggregate statistics.
DATA SHARING AND DISCLOSURE
We share data with:
Other Users (With Your Consent): Friends may see your rounds, scores, statistics, and profile information. Leaderboards may display your performance.
Service Providers: Supabase, Apple, golf course data providers, and analytics services (anonymized).
Legal Requirements: We may disclose information to comply with legal obligations or investigate fraud/security issues.
We do not sell personal information, share data with advertisers, or use data for unrelated marketing.
YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES
You have the right to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to the processing of your data.
Managing Permissions
You can control location, contacts, photos, push notifications, and friend visibility in device or App settings.
Account Deletion
You can delete your account in the App under Settings > Delete Account. Data will be deleted within 90 days.
CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
The App is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
Your information may be transferred to servers in other countries. By using the App, you consent to these transfers.
CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS (CCPA)
California residents have rights including knowing what data is collected, whether it is sold/disclosed, opting out of sale, and non-discrimination. We do not sell personal information.
EUROPEAN PRIVACY RIGHTS (GDPR)
EEA residents have rights including being informed, accessing data, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and rights related to automated decision-making.
CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this policy. Changes will be posted in the App, the “Last Updated” date will be revised, and significant changes may trigger a push notification. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance.
